This is just strange to me, and I’m not taking away from the devastation and the people affected. I am so sorry this happened to them. But, were the porta potties placed after? Doesn’t seem possible, but how are they still standing?

17:13, if you look carefully at the white picket fence on south side of Reno Rd you can see what appears to be the Aussie chasers Dave Croan, Michael Thomas and Jimmy Deguara backing into the driveway of that farm/business. Their footage shows them sitting in that driveway next to the fence with numerous chasers including Richard Henderson (in a mineral gray metallic Dodge Ram 1500 crew cab pickup), Scott Peake/Kevin Rolfs (in a black Chevy Tahoe) and Bill Ford/Jimmy Story (in an Eddie Bauer Ford Explorer) all going east.

Thank you for the comment! It can be a tough situation sometimes to enjoy these storms, however they will occur regardless. These observations and the public interest and awareness they bring may be our best chance at furthering the science and better understanding tornadoes in the end.

Yeah theres some pretty cool stuff out here in the bighorn basin. No offense to you n your people but it does , whats a good word. Concern It does Concern me that the BLM is basically selling a local resorce or commodity thats being taken to another state. Yet I, a lifetime resident here cant legally take any of those same fossils home. I called the local BLM office a while back. I was connected to a woman who i askes "how does a person get a permit to remove vertebrate fossils from public land? Im a high school educated concrete finisher. Whats the chance i can get a permit?" The woman said well probably much of a chance. I would need a collage degree in whatever and that the fossils would be being removed for educational purposes. I said "Ok, if the fossils are going to a museum then its not only for educationl purposes!" We have a museum in Worland that doesnt have a freaking thing in it! I dont know what they are charging for permits but couldn't possibly be worth it leaving the state." I know where a bunch of this stuff is. Way back in high school my biology teacher used to take his students out to find and collect fossils. Thats before it was a capital offence to do so. I spend over 50 years out here in the badlands. I havent quite pinpointed where you people were at but i know ive been there. I would be willing to take people out to known spots i have and help excavate/ collect fossils if they were going to the museum in worland or at least not leave the state. I told this woman that and havent heard back. So. If and when you come back out here. Give me a shout. Will talk about it.

Amazing material here! Even though I can only listen to these videos, I get a lot out of reading the description and comments using text-to-speech software. The only thing that would have made it better is if you had everything in stereo or binaural audio, but you captured some of that awesome sound at the beginning. You also got some of the best audio later in the video, and I love what y'all did near the end. It was so sad to hear that those good people decided to relocate. Let's hope they found better circumstances overall for them.

What’s crazy is that you dismissed him calling a lot of crazy shots before they happened He knew something game changing was coming just not exactly where or when within a 15 mile radius Him waiting it out from a safe distance was the smartest thing Ive heard from that day other than Pecos Hank pulling out directly in front of the mesocyclone reaching down in front of “ HIM “

Once that thing got really cranking it threw down multiple vortices dancing around the main funnel.....when I saw that, it looked like a freaking merry-go-round turned into a monster.....it gave me full-body chills. 😮

At 17:18, seeing the spin on the mesocyclone is so beautiful. I can understand why I see so many videos of people unable to pull themselves away from watching, even as the tornado moves closer and closer. I’m sure in their mind they’re telling themselves “just one more minute, just one more minute..”.
